What credit score is typically needed for a DSCR loan?

Every program sets its own credit floor, and those floors move with the market, so it is more useful to think in tiers than in one universal cutoff. Borrowers with strong credit generally see the widest menu of programs and the most favorable pricing, while those closer to a program's minimum may face reduced leverage or added reserve expectations. A thinner profile does not automatically end the conversation, because underwriters often balance credit against the property's cash flow and the equity in the deal. Recent credit events receive their own review, separate from the score itself. For a current picture of credit expectations alongside the other qualifying criteria, see our DSCR requirements page.
